“𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂.”
That is probably one of the greatest validation I have gotten in recent days.
My client went on to explain that, ‘𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗮𝗱-𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀?’
These were his exact words, and I do know it as previously, this client did bring his doubts to me about what I proposed saying that his banker was against it. So it was not new information to me.
The banker even went so far to cast doubts on our company saying that it sounds like a scam because he didn’t fully understand how our portfolios worked.
So what changed?
During the past year, my client looked at what I did for him compared to what his banker did for him, he was convinced that our portfolio 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗺 and more than that, he realized that his banker has not been honest with him about his own investments with them.
To be honest, 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲, when he took the side of his banker in the earlier months, but I refused to drop to the same level and to defame the other party. Initially he repeatedly told me that this was a very reputable bank and he has been working with them for many years.
But I’m glad that at least he gave us a chance to prove ourselves and I’m so glad that we did just that after 2 years.
In this industry, we will encounter many obstacles and people who try to compete with us but with less than honorable methods. But I believe, that we can just 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀. I remember the words of our finexis founders:
“𝗗𝗼 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱, 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲”
As long as we are focused on the client’s interest in all that we do, we do not need to fear anyone or anything. Our conscience are clear and we can still sleep soundly at night, no matter what others say.
